Introduction to Robotics (Part-1)

Robots can be guided by an external control device or the control may be embedded within.A machine resembling a human being and able to replicate certain human movements and functions automatically.

By extension, robotics is the engineering discipline dealing with the design, construction, and operation of robots.A typical robot has a movable physical structure, a motor of some sort. Essentially, robots are man-made versions of animal life -- they are machines that replicate human and animal behavior.Robotics, design, construction, and use of machines (robots) to perform tasks done traditionally by human beings.

A robot is a machine

These robots consist mainly of mechanical arms tasked with welding or screwing on certain parts of a car.Robotics, design, construction, and use of machines (robots) to perform tasks done traditionally by human beings.

An overview of four types of industrial robots:

  • Articulated Robots.~ An articulated robot is the type of robot that comes to mind when most people think about robots.Articulated robots are widely used in the US manufacturing industries
  • Scara Robots This is why it is often used with FlexiBow
  • Delta Robots

  • Cartesian Robots.~ A popular application for this type of robot is a computer numerical control machine (CNC machine) and 3D printing.

Amazon had build the Alexa Robot  !

Uses of Robots

our feet should we fall, or have difficulty just getting up.Robots protect workers from repetitive, mundane and dangerous tasks, while also creating more desirable jobs, such as engineering, programming, management and equipment maintenance.

Advantages of Robots in the Workplace

  • Safety.- Safety is the most obvious advantage of utilizing robotics.
  • Speed.- Robots don't get distracted or need to take breaks.
  • Consistency.- Robots never need to divide their attention between a multitude of things.
